Holmes, R. 1959 Phalaropus fulicarius 7 July Barrow, Alaska Several seen near Elsa Logan and near A.A.C.s; however, they were not present in any numbers. Most birds seen were males. 8 July Barrow, Alaska Groups of 20-30 were seen The ponds in Utha's Area. The majority were females, and some had started to molt. 9 July Barrow, Alaska A male swan was collected in the trapline in Utha's Area. His breed patch had started to become feathered and he was molting all over his body. The wings, however, had not started. 13 July Barrow, Alaska The nest in the area near A.A.C.s. hatched within the last 3 days. Three young were seen about 10 feet away.
