Many were seen in the water, other taken under rocks at the stream border. Had fed on newly transformed Bufo. The dorsal stripe is yellow in most, orange in a few. 7 mi. SW El Vergel (Jaguntna) 7800', Chihuahua, Mexico July 2 Two large females taken today were gravid, one giving birth to seven young shortly after capture. Probably this is not the full complement - others may have been seen before capture.
