Seen striking its head out of a rock pile by the roadside in an overgrazed pinon-oak forest.
The light & dark crossbanded effect is strong on the anterior 2/3 of the body. Venter suffused with gray, anteriorly. Subcandal surface yellow-red, fading out on the last 30 ventrals.
