Callisaurus draconoides
3 mi S El Oase (45 mi N Hermosillo) Sonora, Mex.
2588-9 RZ
July 20
Mesquite, palo verde and other trees
with an intermixture of small cholla cactus. The
trees spaced about 40' apart on the average. Much
new grass and herbaceous vegetation beneath and
among the trees.
The male Callisaurus found here have essentially
the same ventral coloration described for C. d.
dragonis, except the lateral bars are more
distinct and the overlying color is more blue
than green.
