Found on the sandy beach just above the high tide mark. The legside side in burrows which look like those of Dipodomys, but seem to be those of crabs.

Six more shot this morning (three in Riemeis catalogue). Ventral coloration essentially the same except some females have red or chest, but no green.
Probably the extreme southern extent of the range of this species consists of a fringe extending reaching down the beach and others projecting into the interior along washes. The thickness of the thorn forest would seem to be an impenetrable barrier to this species, except where washes or other areas of bare ground provide access.
