W. Zweifel 1953 Hyla eximia 7 mi SW El Vergel (Tzuntun), 7800', Chihuahua, Mexico 2256 RZ June 28 Found beneath a rock at the edge of a stream in yellow pine forest. Ground color was brown when frog was captured, later changed to gray. June 30 A newly transformed individual found beneath a rock at the edge of the stream. The individual is bright green. An adult in a rotter pine log 40' from the stream. This one is green on the center of the back and gray on the sides. A small adult was disgorged by a Thamnophis cystopsis. 2333 RZ July 2 Found an adult on a rocky outcrop while we were hunting Eleutherodactylus at night. July 3 Removed an adult from the stomach of a Thamnophis errans.
