Adults of this species were found both along the stream and on the dry ground by our camp, 200' from the stream. They were found active at night. No breeding activity was observed.
Tadpoles and newly transformed young, presumably of this species, were extremely abundant. Every suitable rock or log along the stream sheltered a dozen or more tiny toads. With the advent of heavier rains toward the end of our stay here, the young toads have begun to leave the vicinity of the stream and disperse into the forest. During an evening or afternoon rain, multitudes of little toads can be found hopping about.
