R. Zweifel 1953 Bufo woodhousei Rio Papigochiri, Mimarra, 6300', Chihuahua Mexico 2246 AZ June 25 Several of these toads were taken in and beside the river. Those calling sounded something like "WAAAAH". According the Riener, the B. woodhousei in the States trill - a very different call. Jawne and newly transformed toads, presumably of this species, were found in abundance.
