After a short delay at the border (someone felt there should be duty paid on our specimens), we drove on to the Ruby Road and Sycamore Canyon, Pajarito Mtns, Santa Cruz Co., Arizona. Here we met Dr W. Frank Blair of the University of Texas, and a graduate student, who were frog collecting and recording animal calls, the second activity being their main effort. They had on the previous evening succeeded in recording Microlyla at Peña Blanca. They had also collected a small Rana tularumarae in Sycamore Canyon. I hiked a considerable distance down
