Reservation Canyon, 2 mi. E San Luis Obispo,
San Luis Obispo Co., Calif.
Reached the main stream in the canyon without
finding any amphitrite. 1.2 mi from the
highway a tributary stream enters. In this
stream I collected six Triturus torosana,
1 Rana aurora and 1 Rana boylii. Other
frogs of both species were seen.
The stream was about 4' wide and 6" deep,
extcept where there were pools 1 or more deep and
up to 8' wide. The Triturus were in the pools.
