1.9 mi. N Public Camp 3 a large adult Craspedothorax lugis was found. This is in digger pines - live oak woodland. At Salmon Ch, 2 1/2 mi SE Fairview Pona sayladi was found to be common - 6 were collected (so species amount).
We stopped for lunch at Limestone Cliff Public Camp, 2.7 mi up the road from Paso Robles End P.O. and then drove on up the road to Johnmendale. 2.1 mi past Johnmendale we turned off on the road to French Fox Meadow which was 3.5 mile further on.
Pana ovina was abundant here. Hyla, Batechusega, Eresatone and Leucopoma gravis also were collected. I found a Batrachosep beneath the bark on a white fir log. An Eresatone was similarly located on another log.
Returning from French Fox Meadow we looked for frogs on Bear Creek and South Creek but found none.
We camped at Limestone Cliff Billie Camp, 2.7 mi N Paso Robles End P.O., and investigated the cliff and seep as a possible site for Hydromantes, but with no success. This is in digger pine - oak association. A striped newt seen on the road here escaped.
