At the point where a step-gradient stream comes off Hwy 65 about one mile south of Ruskers, Texas Co. Murray collected a small Cretaceous echinoderm plate. No from some found.
We followed Highway 65, and on the oak woodland 2 mi west Dodge, Tulsa Co. & found a stepped slope and an Eumenes gibbet beneath logs.
No more collecting was done until the morning. We drove south and cooked dinner over the mouth of the Kern Canyon and then after dark drove to Holo Hot Springs to camp. The only snake (stopt a gopher snake) was a DOR Rhinostilus Cane Six Dinosaur Springs. A Baby lizard found on the road near Holo Hot Springs had a BT 13.4°C
April 26
Left Holo Hot Springs this morning to driving up the Kern River Canyon. Opposite (old) Ruskville, a fresh DOR Moatoglasia Lateralis was picked up. It had just been bit at about 9:00 AM. The hillsides at this spot are rather barren and rocky with only very scattered duggar pines and junipers.
Just over the Tulsa Co. line (OK.)
S Collins Cong 3, Keith caught a Xanthus vigilis in a rather dugger pine stump.
