Zweifel 1954 30 Sceloporus gracivens South side of North Peak, Mt Diablo, 3200; Contra Costa County, Calif. 2619-20 2220-20, RZ April 11 Two juveniles on the ground (or on small rocks, not on large outcrops where S. occidentalis was seen) near the crest on the western spur of the peak. The place where the lizards were captured along the trail is grassy. About 100 feet down the slope the heavy chaparral (mainly Ceanothus) begins, and 40 feet above the trail on the crest are thickets of Quercus chrysolepis and Q. wislizeni.
