Sceloporus gracivens
South side of North Peak, Mt Diablo, 3200; Contra Costa
County, Calif.
2619-20

April 11
Two juveniles on the ground (or on small rocks, not
on large outcrops where S. occidentalis was seen) near
the crest on the western spur of the peak. The place
where the lizards were captured along the trail is
grassy. About 100 feet down the slope the heavy
chaparral (mainly Ceanothus) begins, and 40 feet
above the trail on the crest are thickets of Quercus
chrysolepis and Q. wislizeni.
