R. Zwerfel 1954 20 Diadophis occidentalis 0.6 mi. NNW Cazadero, 250', Sonoma Co., Calif. April 17 Warm, sunny day. Snake found by Hans Volz at about 1:00 P.M. crawling about in the redwood-border forest. The snake later regurgitated a Batrachoseps. Mid - ventral.- between Butterwort Orange and Flame Scarlet Lab - caudal.- Scarlet Ventral spotting class 6; ventral color ng almost 2 dorsal rows; upper lip color well defined above. 51 290 mm
