zoifol 1954 9 Hopland Field Station, Mendocino Co., Calif. May 14-15 Trip with Zool. 125c class. Region probably was thick broad-sclerophyll forest tending toward border-redwood, but has been cleared to a woodland, except in canyons. This are a few post-climax douglas fir and sugar pine about. The following herps were collected or recorded: 4 Bufo boreas halophilus. - one under a log, another caught on a mouse trap and one active at night, BT 12.7°C, air 1 cm. 11.5°C - Hyla regilla. - heard calling 18? Anides flavipunctatus { both was found in same cover. 9? Anides lugubris 5 Sceloporus occidentalis. - only one a ?, and busy with eggs. As most ?'s in retirement now? 1 Merbnotus miictcarinatus, gone 3 Eumeces skiltonianus. - 28 with large eggs was under a log by the creek. 1 Thamnophis elegans aquatius 1 Coluber constrictor mormon 1 Tamnopsis getulus californicus 2 Pitophis catonifus catonifus. - A large adult, BT 23.2°C, was stitched out on a dirt road (surface 32.1°C) at noon. 1 Diadophis amblyceps
