Open - nearest trees are glowaks about 150' away. 11:10 AM. Coil under rock (14"x12"x6") when snake found 120°C. Dorsal body surface Buffy Brown. Venter Diagonal Hood Red. The red ventral color becomes restricted progressively laterally on the anterior 1/3 of the body disappearing at about the first ventral. The posterior regions is gray.
