Calif. 4:45 AM - large adult ?, water 9.4°C 10:00 AM - adult ? - water 9.0°C 549.0 Stream average 10' wide, 8" deep - some pools up to 2'. Watercourse lined with Baccharis rimosa. Valley perhaps 1/4 mile wid at this point. Sycamores scattered along stream, occasional valley oaks elsewhere. Practically no shading on stream. Arroyo Mocho. 549.6 Water 10.5°C (young frogs, not cared). Frogs very scarce today throughout the Arroyo. Snow fell last night on nearby ridge and temperature was probably close to freezing last night. Rain & later snow fell as we left in the late afternoon.
