P. Zweifel Feb 3, 1952 29 Michelland Dr., 1 mi E Topanga Canyon Road, Santa Monica Mtms, L.A. Co. A skink (E. skiltonianus) and a small Merremius multicarinatus webbi were found there. Feb. 4, 1952 Topanga Canyon, Sta. Monica Mtns Searched about 1/2 mile of stream for Triturus without success. Stream very high, weather warm. No lizards seen, nor frogs. Dixie Canyon, Sta. Monica Mtme. Three adult Enactina found beneath surface litter in the canyon bottom. A few small Sceloporus out. Feb. 6, 1952 Orange Co., Calif. Today I visited the Santa Ana Mountains. AT 4.7 mi. SE Irvine Park, a locality where both Batrach- spe have been taken, only B. attenu- tus could be found, 24 were taken beneath rocks in the grassy area.
