R. Zweifel April 5, 1952 130 Diadophis amabilis amabilis U.C. Campus, Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif. 1745 R. Zweifel: coll. Ron Countryman SV - 283 mm mid-ventral. - Orange sub-candal. - Between Scarlet and Brazil Red dorsal. - Olivaceous Black Ventral color covers 1/2 dorsal row on the anterior 1/4 of the body, 1 now the rest of the way. Ventral spots large - 32 on a sample 10 ventral segment at mid-body. Light coloring of upper labials paler than ventral color. Upper border on labials 4,5 & 6 is diagonal, slanting toward the rear. "Back of Bowles Hall, 30 feet west of building in cut grass about 6 feet from bush. Temp approx. 75° sunny - 3:30 PM"
