Contia tenuis
Waddell Creek, Santa Cruz Co., Calif:
1764 R. Zweifel
Helen Jordan found a pair of large Contia
under bark on a standing dead oak
trunk about 8-10 feet above the ground.
This is at the edge of a cleared field.
Two oak and bay are present. The thick doug
fir and redwood forest does not reach down
to the valley floor here. Also at the same
spot area she found Thamnophis elegans,
Seelopoma occidentalis, Heterodonius
metricornis & Hyla regilla lugubris.
(One of the Contia was captured)
