R. Zweifel April 26, 1952 102 Eumenes gilberti: 8.5 mi. NW Woodlake, Tulare Co., Calif. A few minutes collecting at around 5:30 PM turned up 3 abdomes; a juvenile, a sub- adult and an adult. All were found under rocks 40 - 100 feet from a small stream. The general aspect of this locality is one of grassy, oak-studded hillslides with prominent granite outcroppings. Oaks present include valleyoak, interior liveoak and blueoak. Willows and cottonwoods are along the stream. Elevation 900'. The oaks for the most part do not form a continuous canopy.
