R. Zuerfel 87 Rana boylii boylii 5-3 mi. W McCaskill Peak, Plumas Co., Calif. 1 1885, 2-0 60 mm Yellow of groin chest & Pale Tann Yellow. Posterior surface of former Strong Buff. Yellow of groin region covers much of venter. Throat in dark phase is dark gray with very little tone of discrete markings. There is very little dark color on the chest region. Dorsally, the light head band is faintly visible. There is only the faintest indication of spotting dorsally. The dorsal surfaces of the hind legs are barred, but the pattern is very faint. D-L folds not differently closed. #1886,87,88 agree with 1885. All are ?? 1885 - post breeding 1886 - sup - looking era, 1-5 cm dia. 1887 - post breeding 1888 - post breeding 1864, ?. Typical boylii used were noted when specimen was skinned for skeletonizing.
