Zweifel May 31, 1952 86 Rana boylii boylii East Chino Ck. 5.5 mi W McKeeick Peak, Plumas Co. Calif. Twenty-three juveniles and five adults was taken in about one hour of collecting. This is in a broad, sagelands-corned valley with yellow and jeffrey pines on the surrounding slopes. The stream average 15' wide and 3'deep, temp- sature near edge 20.2°C. The stream banks are for the most part grassy or muddy, with occasional sandy base. The frogs was not restricted to any particular type of bank. There are no trees bordering the stream we as far at least a mile or two up a downstream. Juveniles were extremely abundant; many more could have been secured. Not adults been seen secured. There were very few snakes in the stream.
