Camp Wishon, 4000', Tulare Co., Calif.
Lower Transition Zone - yellow pine, incense cedar, camptrock. Many were taken from a small stream which averaged 3" deep and 18" wide, never more than 6' deep. Water temperature 7.8°C. Most in the water were males, though there was one pair in an-ophorus. Many more females and a few males were out walking around - this was in the early afternoon, the weather cool, sky cloudy. Body temperatures recorded on 5 such Internus were 10.0°, 10.6°, 10.8°, 10.8° and 11.6°C.
