Zweifel This individual was found in the overflow stream, 2 ft. wide, from a spring fed artificial pond. The surrounding forest contains yellow pine, doug. fir, big-leaf maple and dogwood. Markings between the dose dorso-lateral lines are very diffuse. The lines themselves are emphasized by an accumulation of pigment of a deep brown-red color. The dorsal body color is tan with a slight yellow-green tinge. Dark bars are evident on the tails, femur and foot. The hind leg type are dark. Throat markings are very dark and serriform. The yellow of the groin extends onto the side of the abdomen. The rest of the abdomen is white.
