Zweifel May 12, 1973 Rana boylii Note on irisic guanisms I have at present six living examples of R. boylii from the following localities: San Gabriel Mtme, 2 (R. b. muscosa) Contra Costa Co., 1 Shasta Co., 1 Turlumne Co., (foothill) 1 San Gabriel River, 1 (R. b. boylii) The guanison of the muscosa eye is more of an orange-gold color, contrasting with the yellow-gold colors of the Shasta, Contra Costa and San Gabriel River frogs. The eye of the Turlumme frog is slightly deeper yellow than the other non-muscosa.
