Rana boylii
Note on irisic guanisms
I have at present six living examples of R. boylii from the following localities:
San Gabriel Mtme, 2 (R. b. muscosa)
Contra Costa Co., 1
Shasta Co., 1
Turlumne Co., (foothill) 1
San Gabriel River, 1 (R. b. boylii)
The guanison of the muscosa eye is more of an orange-gold color, contrasting with the yellow-gold colors of the Shasta, Contra Costa and San Gabriel River frogs.
The eye of the Turlumme frog is slightly deeper yellow than the other non-muscosa.
