This was along Hold Ch., about one mile from the road junction with Little Tujunga Canyon. The snake is an adult. A large racer (lateralis?) was seen on the road nearby, but it escaped. Devil Canyon, Santa Susana Mtns. While in previous years there has been water in the canyon as late as June, the stream is now dry. Salomone, Uta, and Cnemidophorus were observed.
