5 ½ deg cor. 33 from 6:30pm to 8:00am + coll. (6
Fox Sparrows (14 today). Saw them:
Con. Nighthawk 5 flying, diving (w/ churning
noise), calling
Mt. Bluebird 3-5 ftes (lineoidea) in bush
Engilong 3-5 cwtng in bush
+ Thrushes 18 July 06:30 - 08:30

Worked on birds all day at Sagehen Lk. Research Station:
clear cold st. 4°
07:30 - 08:00 hended 5 ½ deg cor. 33 + got 3 Fox Sp. +
1 juv. Gr-tailed Tanager (by mistake). Saw 2+ Nighth
awkers - the usual (see note above), worked on birds +
went to Truckee for supplies.
Sagehen to Quincy
21 July
spent till 4:00pm at Sagehen, arrived Quincy ~ 6:00. The drive is nice (drops 2088') to pass
through some lg. open grazing lands the weenon.
Went to U.S. Forest Station outside Meadow Valley
& talked to a TA (Tome?) who told me to try
Buck Summit & Silver for brush fields own good. Dint towers Buck Lake. At Bucker
Summit (T. 24D, R8E, sec. 31-32) thing an old
birch in v. dense brush - manganita, (another)
