rattlesnake on Stan. R. Rd. Waked an Otiss + took brief dig
in Stanislaus R. Re the rattlesnake - I tried to get it to
rattle but it would only assume a defensive posture - his locally,
swellling its body by 3/4-1". At 6:00p.m. went further down Stan.
islaus Rd [towards Hwy 4] + found another, large brushy area
hunted until 8:30 p.m. See catalag for precise location - it located
on both sides of the road in the SW'q of sec. 26. The extent is not
evident from road, but it's ~1.7 mi. from the Stanislaus R on
the Stan. Piva Rd. Saw/heard 6:00p.m.-8:30pm (clear cold still!)
