Chickadee, 2^t\nRobin, 4^G.t.Towhee, 2^t Chipping Sparrow, Thrush calling, 2^t Audubon\nWarbler, Quailcallin', pa Marshl. Warblers, Nuthatch callin'. Returned\nto car 1200 - 2:15 walk climbed north to 2:25-4:00 walked\ndown rd about 2-2 1/2 miles towards Art. Twn. The\nview about 2 mi. in is fantastic as you face NNE\nthru an unobstructed view of Mono+mt. Ritter. The\narea here (at 2mi.) is mostly brushy but the slope is\nmuch steeper. From 2:25-3:15 was quite still + hard\nto squeak vigorously to get merh songers. Saw: Hermit\nThrush (3), 2 Warbling Vireo, 2^t Junco, R.B. Nuthatch, 2^t Mt.\nChickadee (see sp acct.), Hermit Warbler on in 60-70'spruce\nstand, singing you + \u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014, 2^t Western\nTanagers, Brn. Vireo, W.Wood Pewee (1) - dead trees at\nedge of clearing, House Wren (see sp. acct), 1 Stella Jay,\n2 Cassin Finch, heard a Parula Warbler-like sound - an\nascending comp-like sound from 70' pine, 2^t G.T.
