R.M.Zink 1979 Journal 28 July (ed) 5 Warner Mtns, Modoc Lassen Co., Calif. of about 6' Salix + lots of aspen - but nothing that looked good for Fox Sp. (unless the willow/aspen community is used for breeding). There was also some coniferous growth + Mt. Mahogany. We returned past Patterson C.S. & took rd. around Mahogany Bridge - lots of conifer, aspen + mahogany + a very few tamarisk bush (stopped briefly + squealed but o). Then decided to try the del Eagle Pt. locality of Lindalop (1928), we drove to Song Springs campground & part way on very poor road to Mill Creek. We met 2 birdogs living at Song Spgs. doing open country vegetation survey for Forest Serv. One knew birds + hadn't seen but 1 Fox Sparron - however, they've avoided brushy areas. So, we hiked the following: Eagle Pt. we scanned this area (2x4 mi's) & saw only old aspen, fairly deal of somewhat dense willows, ventured into a patch of Salix but saw o Fox Sp. Mill Creek good vantage point high 1/2mi Song Springs
