The slopes aren't too steep. The weather was
clear - partly cloudy.. Soil was a grayish ash
or weathered volcanic material. On some slopes
bits of basalt + scoria exist. The site 1/2 mi S
3/4 mi E Sugar Hill is along the road to Cottonwood
