Departed 1230 from Bickett Peak site to Indian Cr, Reservoir spent rest of day working on birds. Rain.
21 July Departed Indian Cr. Reservoir + went to Carson City for supplies. At 3:30 pm drove rd. to Trail Cr, campgrounds - which is closed. Finally found the road King Canyon Rd. just E of Spoons Summit & camped about 4pm in. The habitat is essentially a mosaic forest, brush + meadow. The forest is dominated by mountain ponderosa pine + fir, the brushy open occur in size from isolated bushes to extensive patches of the pepperbush @ manzanita @ Castenega's, & then sage (common higher) + some bbs. The forest also goes from dense + extensive to few scattered trees in the brushy spots. There are some large granite outcroppings. Rain is constant hard, hard dryer during day
22 July Hunted early a.m. There was considerable activity as the day after a cold day. Long rain apparently had things busy catching up. Walked E on King Canyon Rd., hunting brush patches. We then drove E on rd. + hunted brush
