Lee Vining Canyon, Marolt area Mono Co, Calif.
July (illegible) but I were rather local & could think of no place we could collect. He did mention that the only place he sees them regularly was at vicinity of Hager Campground. We drove out & cancelled.
14 July
Up 0530 + headed brushfields across from Hager to Camp. This area has lots of Prunus, Clanthus & Ribs plus a mixture of pine, fir copy The brushy areas reminded me of west slope montane chaparral. Was sure a relief after spending yesterday in Arfmesis + antelopebrush. To find suitable habitat. On p.m. we drove further W on rd. through section of Lee Vining canyon & found another brushfield W of the Big Bend (osrs) campground. Ran into an old, but little activity & the Angiella was hungry.

Returned to road, pH= 1097+ coll. 6 Fox Sp. The brush is dominated in places by dense y-left. Prunus plus patches of sax + Clanthus. There are some cresed rockslides & scattered pine, mahogan, fir near canyon (some open pine fir forest). Returned to camp & worked on buss until a 3:00, r. when we headed W for
