We headed down canyon + on flat segebush, w/ main Hwy, saw 4+ Sage Sparrow, 2 Horned Lark.
Saw a DOR Burrowing Owl / 1/2 mi SW of Coaldale. At
Coaldale saw 2+ Parson Dometine + Horned Lark.
There is a dry (at least today) alkeline marsh w/
remains of salt mine. Saw 1 Lesser Nighthawk, or
st flew low over segebush at dusk (on Hwy 85 ~6mi.
w from Coaldale). Camped at Walker Lake.
