R.M. Zink 1979 Journal Wyman Cr, 8100 - 7420ft, Inyo Co, Calif. 3 July (cont) walls are steep + partially covered by sagelands + some gingers + jimison / shades of cambian + pre-cambian meta-sedimentary rock fragments (tallus slopes). There was a stiff breeze in the afternoon + was mostly sunny. So, at least presently, Robert Ranch (=RR) marks the 1st occurrence of willows, as you go E in Wyman Canyon. Because of the low density, FoxSg, we packed up ~4:30pm headed down road (E), + the road does descend. Hunted willow grows + got 2 FoxSg. + saw 3 others. Colt, a Digger or way back to camp. Found a beaver home up 3 separate foods. Spent rest of a.m. working on birds. Very windy in afternoon. About 1130 a group of 85+ Pigeon Sage descended canyon near our camp (see sp. ored). We worked the willows again 580 ft to 6530 + only heard 2 Fox Sg. Bestirned to camp + packed up. Went (or continued) further down Wyman Cr. There were several patches of
