A.L. Ziegler 1961 January Tilcox Pond, Contra Costa Co., California Apr. 12 Collected about 2 doz. egg masses at Tarichia (possibly jonesi) in stream running from N fence of Bonar Gardens to lake Anza. Eggs were scarce - found most masses on stones or sticks in the 2oz larger quieter pools. Preserved 2 egg masses (in candy jar stoppers) & will preserve the larvae which hatch at intervals to show growth stages for the Museum Coll. Kept eggs in stream water in MV3 above room (°F). Water to be changed every 3 days - replacement water from ponds in Life Sciences Building courtyard. Some eggs now show small recognizable embryos.
