for MVR toom. Originally taken by Dr.
W. G. Klocke, Jr. & Koot, in company by
N.B. McCuloch of zoo. Just to observe
behavior. Animals with quite a bit
of fat.
Tilcox Peak, Coeur d'Alene Co., Idaho.
Mch/8 Took zoo/13 field trip for amphibians
4-10 o'clock.
9 - noon. Got many Boxed newts, One
Avengers Lizards, & 1 Ensatina - all
around Archery area. Got also
1 14", non Thamnophis & 1 Gopherus
coeruleus. And 3 lizards & 1 Ya.
Micrurus. Sunny & warm but ground
still wet from rain yesterday &
day before. Birds:
Turkey Vultures - 1 Nuthatch - 1
Red-tailed Hawk-3 Wren - nr - 2
Cal. Quail - 1 Bewick Wren - 1
Mourning Dove - 2 Posin . 2
Anna H'Bird - 2 Solitary Vireo - 1 (calling)
Downy W'Pck. - 1 House Finch - 1
Finches - 1 Amer. Goldfinch - 2
Black Phoebe - 1 Brown Thrasher - 3
