A.C. ZIEGLER 1959 JOLENAN San Pasqo Creek (salt marsh), Richmoro, Burza Costa Co., Calif. coll. APE6. Put up on Apr.7, 10 Petithoa raviventris raviventris(?) caught by Geo. F. Fisher of MU2. Same reading on on Mar. 15, 1959. This steam line will be used by George thru the rest of his sampling period. Cover is mostly Sericosania but on end of line "runs into Distichlis". Geo. set 100 mus. spec's & got 11 Euphorus, 3 Microtus & 3oz.4 Song & Savannah sparrows. 9 of the Petithoas go to MU2 + 1 to my peers. coll. The 11th has broken shut & was discarded. Seven V Ranches (Rq's 25mi.NW Prescott, Yavapai Co., Ariz. and S side Virgin River, 8 mi.SSW Meriwive, Clark Co., Nevada and 3mi. NW Gila, Navajo Indian Res, Coconino Co., Arizona Apr6's APE16 Put up a Peromomus flavus, P. longimembris & Neotoma stephensi from above locations (see this catalog for coll'nng dates) for MU2. Animals trav'd alive by Don & Elsa Isaacs of Zoo. Drvt. V.C. Bendery . These animals also r were frozen &l prepared. Neotoma died of some sort of DIARRHEA. 1.0mi.N 2.0mi.E Martinez (saltmarsh), Burza Costa la Calif Apr.17 Put up 3 Song Sparrows taken by Geo. Fisher in marsh. He also took a very dark Microtus (young) well out of marsh in fields. (this not saved)
