ZICHER 1959 Journal Aecm 9631 MVZ # 124027 Acz # 1357 Rec'd Mar 8, 59 Scorv live-trapped (dead), Sat-Sun March 7-8, 9 miles S (by road) of Paicines, about 200 ft west of Hollister-San Benito Hwy. In small shrub-grassy hillside on bluff just east of San Benito River, immediate area also supporting ?maniculatus & Reithrodontys with Dr. W.B. Quay of Muz Mar. 15 San Angelo Creek (San Maran) Richmans County Grass Co., Calif. At UP 60 > X 29 REITHRO, equivalent for MVZ from Geo. F. Kage of Mvz. mice taken in marshy roughly 1/2 way between San Angelo Creek & creek to the SW - possibly Wilcoat Creek. Acz # 1358-1360. George's field notes may have some info on habitat, associated species, etc. He plans to take a monthly sample by snap-trapping + Willows Dale's to Mvz. His thesis problem involves the status of the genus Reithro, in the area around San Fran. Bay. These 2 sets were taken care of George in MVZ. Spec. Res.
