OFF HALF MOON BAY, SAN MATEO CO., CALIFORNIA
Feb. 23 I collected skin with bristles from
snout of Feb 23 grey & also skin with
tiny bristlers sunked into the skin of
snow region. Gave parts of these pieces
to frags of bowe + vest. New cord to
Dr. Quay of UC ZOO. Dror, gave another
piece of skin with bristles to Muz. Bowens
went to Dr. Smith at Zoo. Dror, Dr Grumore
+ several other acquainted w/ on whales.
said that severan (if not all) species
of Green Whales has bristlers on
snout, but did not think they
appeared on Toothless which which they
has seen. Also saw skin of Brazos
Beaches whale taken last year by Dr.
Monte. The whaler, Chuck
Canto, was apparently selling it
to LA Co. Museum.

Feb 26 Dr Monte Fishing Co. took another Grey
Whale + I went out to get it cut up.
+ steam cleaning, etc.
Got parts of many organs + movies for Dr.
Quay, etc. Got 1 pelvic bone, huml of Green.
+ piece of skin for Muz. Ass # 1355.
Dr. Trever also took many samples of tissues
This is his "Whale #2". Dr. Grumore took extensive
series of extremme meats.
