A.C. Zieber 1960 Peromyscus maniculatus 3/4 mi. and 5 mi. (by road) s Myers Flat, Humboldt Co., Cal. 18 June Took 3 x 6027 rebsagresus at these 2 localities in snow traps on walnuts, in age, only 2 were at all youthful, 0's in breeding condition but the 1 f Skinner (adult pelage) has no engs or scars. Dr. Quim took about 5 at latter locality in Smith Sherman live traps. Mostly redwood assoc. No other mammals taken here but 1 large kitish Eutamias seen at latter loc. 1 1/2 mi. NW Sawamut, Pierce Co., Washington June 21 x 22 Took a f about 1700 on June 21 in hollow log while setting mus. Spec is pretty good 20 or so ant together in this locality. Ssp. is Austetus - (THE SMALL) Spp. ALTHOUGH SPECIES WERE TAKEN IN RATHER CLOSED WOODS. Jct. Juncosby Greywolf River, 600 ft., Clackam Co, Wash. (J30, T129N, E3W) June 23 ALRY Took many at this locality & also at 6.2 mi. (by road) N ... and 5.3 mi. (by car) N... They don't seem to be the long- tailed ssp. ALCAS ALTHOUGH Dr. Benson SAID HE TOOK BOTH SSP. (AUSTETUS) HERE SEVERAL YEARS AGO. MOST OF OUR TRAPS SEEMED TO BE IN THE THICKER WOODS. & UNDERBUSH.
