3/4 mi. and 5 mi. (by road) s Myers Flat, Humboldt Co., Cal.
18 June
Took 3 x 6027 rebsagresus at these
2 localities in snow traps on walnuts,
in age,
only 2 were at all youthful, 0's in
breeding condition but the 1 f Skinner
(adult pelage) has no engs or scars.
Dr. Quim took about 5 at latter
locality in Smith Sherman live traps.
Mostly redwood assoc. No other
mammals taken here but 1 large
kitish Eutamias seen at latter loc.

Took a f about 1700 on June 21 in
hollow log while setting mus. Spec is
pretty good 20 or so ant together in
this locality. Ssp. is Austetus - (THE
SMALL)

ALTHOUGH SPECIES WERE TAKEN IN RATHER
CLOSED WOODS.

N... They don't seem to be the long-
tailed ssp. ALCAS ALTHOUGH Dr. Benson
SAID HE TOOK BOTH SSP. (AUSTETUS) HERE
SEVERAL YEARS AGO. MOST OF OUR TRAPS
SEEMED TO BE IN THE THICKER WOODS.
& UNDERBUSH.
