A.S.Ziegler 1960 Journal 1 1/2 mi. NW Spanaway, Pierce Co., Washington 22 June. This AM ran the 70 largest small Shermans Dr. Quay & Sandy McCulloch has set + also 35 mus specs, 4 par & 2 Schwules I got, had set 2 mares in more run (old) but no luck. While getting trees had wife got 1 P. maniculus below log. Also got 1 BIRK in muddy pool. Saw a few other (RANA?) frogs. Dr. Q. saw a bride-green Hila, also 1 or 2 Sciuus douglas seen. Dr. Quay has gotten nothing in live traps overnight yesterday. Results this AM: 70 Sherman's 4/5 spec P. maniculatus (mustelus?) 15 6 Sorex vagrans vagrans 0 [illegible] Sorex gossuans(?) 0 13 " doubridgeri 0 3(24) Neuroechus 0 1 Micratus s.p. (tunsana??) 1 1 Eutamias sp. 2 0 Sciuus douglasii 1 0 Skinned off 4 at during-morning mammoth meeting. Aedes, ate lunch & left about 1300. drove N on highway 101 on east side of Olympic peninsula. mileage leading Taoma = 30106.-.
