Dr. Quay set out 20 shermans in a dense spruce forest with a few large maples & smaller trees in understory. Ground mossy with an inch or 2 of humus but mostly gravel below that. A few rocky beds + a 15ft wide very shallow stream occur in area. Traning location is on "Old Military Road", 3/4 mi. West of Pacific Ave.
I did not set here myself last night. This AM (21 JUNE) Dr Quay got 6 P. manchuatus + 1 Sorex newarkii . He left out his traps all day & the whole party went out at 1600 to set more traps.
