A.C. Zebeer 1960 Journal 17 mi. (by road) W Willits, Mendocino Co. Calif. 3 Apr. Drove north on coast highway stopping briefly at Cascade Creek (1/4 mi. S Cascads) but area did not seem to have Rhacophoron. Fungi common. Drove N to Noyo & cut east on state highway 20. 17 mi. West of Willits stopping & working wet woods & downed logs beside road from 0900 - 1000+. Got: Barrenococcus attenuatus 20+ Ensatina eschscholtzi - 1 "close to Angioes ferecus - 2 Thamnophis elegans - 1 Commons fungi & beetles. Saw a Hydra. 13+ mi. (by road) W Willits [Bridge Woods] Mendocino Co., 3 Apr. (contd) Calif. Reached here about 1045 & stayed an hour. Wet woods, deep stream & marshy open dry slopes. Area within 100 yards of Bridge Woods. Got: Dicamptodon ensatus 1 as. Angioes fluxipunctatus 10+ (inclina 4 ya) Barrenococcus atten. 4+ (very young) Angioes ferecus 2+ Ensatina 2+ Contra tenus (Miwaku Tamura) 1 Gummers Skirt 5+ (common) Sigloporus occ. 3+ Thamnophis elegans (!)
