W Gersterville, Sonoma, Calif. 2 Apr (cont'd) Taricha rivularis 50+ Many mating T. granulosa 8+ none mating Angios lugubris 4+ Hyla regilla 10+ calling Rana boylii 8+ all young Gerrhonotus cockerelli 1 Eumeces skiltonianus 2+ Thamnophis elegans 1 Weather very warm & clear. Drove E on road from Springs for 3 miles where at a bridge we checked a roadside seepage stream got 2 young Rana boylii + a Scelotes occid. Overseas got 30+ Anolis levison at road crossing 1 mi. N of Angion, Mendocino Co. California Van Damme State Park, Mendocino Co. Calif. 2-3 Apr Drove to Arced & met other car of club members. Worked creek running thru park for Acranthus - which had been collected here (2 or 3 individuals) - but saw & heard nothing. A small "Ranid" + a Taricha sp. seen in pool beside campgrounds. Heard kingfishers & Pileated w'pecker in Am of 3 Apr. Collected fungi for John Lawrence. Camp costs $1/nite/car 50 campfires, hot(?) water + good lunches.
