June 2d, 1960. The extent of whaling obtained from Gear California - Oregon State Fisheries Co. during the season in Washington is not known but it is to November 30th. The above data was received from A.A.P. and G.W. Moning (W.F.S.). It has been determined that no more than one vessel service exists whose service there are more years than it was worth for whaling during the season. This year however, again is the year to start in the second quarter of 1960 as a result of the change in the number of vessels engaged in whaling.
