Calif., AND S bank mouth San Rafael Creek (salt marsh), Marin Co. Calif., AND 1 mi. S . 1 mi. W mouth San Rafael Creek (grass + sedge) - [illegible] JULY 8 Put up Microbes Calif. From these 3 areas taken by Geo. Fisher of MVZ. Localities shown and mentioned on USGS topo San Quentin, Calif., 7 1/2 min. series, 1947. Geo. took Reptiles also which he is preparing + will turn over to MVZ eventually. Said Microbes very common in area. The marsh E of Levee is a typical California salt marsh but W of Levee the land is dry with scattered grass & sedge. See Fisher's Field Notes for more details. In 3 nights trapping Fisher took Reptiles in Salt Marsh + about 1/2 mi. west of San Quentin west of Levee - No Reptile, RAN, Vertebr. taken in any of these 3 localities. JULY 15 Central California Coast, California Crown Rosenberg, Zoo Stud. at U.C. who works now at Golden Gate Fishing Co., Richmond donated chunk of baleen containing 8 plates.
