A.C.Zimmer 1959 Journal Strawberry Canyon, Sooter, Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif. Apr.20 Put up 2 Juv. Neonata taken as prey by Natives young with mother on Apr.11, 1959. One young still alive & nursing. Berkeley (Virginia Street's), Alameda Co., Calif. Apr.20 Put up 3 Diocanis taken in back yard at above address by Mr (or Dr?) Dale Hark of Forestry Dept., U.C., Berkeley. To personal coll. Many fleas but ticks noticed on animal. Did not seem certainly fat. Tips of upper canines broken, lower O.K., other teeth did not seem much worn. Coarse Hollow, T.3S, R.4E, San Joaquin Co., Calif. Apr.29 Proxymys (?) to Taxiderm as "+ skin" for MVZ. Shot by Dan C Wilharr of MVZ - his # 1214. Left side skull badly damaged by shot but otherwise in good shape. Another 4a. animal, probably a sib, went alive to W.C. Russell of MVZ. San Pablo Creek (Sant Marin), Richmond, Contra Costa Co., Calif. May89 Put up 12 Perithus Ravid. 1 Perithro. Mearners, 1 Sorey vagans, 1 Saggy ornatus & 2 Micrurus canif. taken by Geo. F. Fiske of MVZ in Saricorn # & District Hills marsh. Geo. used same trap lines as previously mentioned in this journal. 100 feet both shot & live.
