Got 20+ adults AREADHUS (only 1 ?) - 2 in AMPLEXUS, 5-6 METAMORPHASING [illegible] & SEVEN TADPOLES. Some frogs under rocks & others out on rocks - most found where water ran swiftly around them in still pools - ditto for tadpoles & metamorphosing ones. Saw 1 TREICHIA in rock below camp where I caught 1 last night but could not reach down far enough under water to catch it. Ran all years between 8 & 10 PM & got 2 or 3 each MICROTUS & PERAMYSCUS. LIVING PALAYOWITA sets on dry hillside & had trapped one - reset trap & left in same burrow system. Moved 1 SCHUYLER to base of tank dead stump next to a fire with a large nest of some sort 4 ft. across & 2 ft. deep 30 ft. up in it & made of dead branches with leaves around it - maybe a squirrel's nest. Aug 29 Ran years about 8:00 AM & got a few PERAMYSCUS & MICROTUS in years in windows in flat. A PERAMYSCUS & MICROTUS or 2, and A SUREY TROWARIOTI & A CATHTHAIOMYS in years among stream. SCHUYLERS held only 1 NECTAR CINCREA with cracked skull. CATCH sets not working. 2 or 3 PERAMYSCUS in live years. Took in all but 50 years in flats; Dr. B. got another ORUcomys in wood on coast flat.
